Cover Reveal: CASH AND GRAVITY
IT IS REAL.
I have a book coming out in May of 2026, and this is the cover!
You can pre-order it on Amazon.
When I have a link to Bookshop.org, I will share that as well.
My publisher is Diversion Books, and I have a wonderful editor there (Toni, you know who you are). Diversion Books asked for my input on the cover, and while I provided my thoughts, they went above and beyond. I could not be more excited about this cover. I did not tell them that one of my favorite colors is orange, but every now and then the universe just knows what you need.
Now that you've seen the cover, you might be wondering, what is Cash and Gravity about? Well, here's a rundown for you.

A high-stakes chase across the American West. A device that could change the world. Three unlikely allies thrown together by fate.
In the not so distant future, six mega corporations and their privatized armies have supplanted the American government. They compete for resources, market position, and the ultimate long game prize of colonizing the stars.
Chevy Cole left her conservative family behind for life as a Launch Tech marine and never looked back, proud of her role as a first-into-the-fire grunt, well below the revered female super soldiers known as Aces. When rumors spread that one of the Big Six has created a fusion device that would put the stars within reach, all-out war looms.
After the catastrophic failed siege of a Nevada mine leaves most of her comrades dead, Chevy encounters a dying Ace in possession of a mysterious package and a surprise: this Ace is a man. Joined by Dolon, an aging mercenary "phantom" sent by Launch Tech to transport the package to an Idaho safehouse, the three form an uneasy alliance.
As they try to outrun a rival corporation’s ruthless agents across the desert in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, Chevy realizes that their survival may also determine who controls the future. But when greed is the only rule of law, who can she trust?
Bearing shades of Old Man’s War by John Scalzi, Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, and The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey, CASH AND GRAVITY is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat sci-fi western filled with twists.
Diversion Books has asked for a second Chevy Cole book, and while writing it, I realized the Chevy Cole series might need to be a trilogy and not a duology. That being said, I will probably only get the opportunity to write a third Chevy Cole book for Diversion if this first book, Cash and Gravity, is profitable. Like everyone, Diversion needs to make ends meet.
So, if this book sounds like something you might like (or something you know someone else might like) please, consider pre-ordering it. I'm a pretty bad salesman (I inherited that from my dad, love you dad) and I pretty much hate telling anyone what they should do with their money (unless it's my husband, in which case, I want another cat.) The point is, if you're a reader and like speculative/western/sci-fi/thrillers, please consider pre-ordering a copy of Cash and Gravity.
This will be considered my 'debut novel'. How well this book does can positively impact my future writing career, or, and this will not shock you, negatively impact my future writing career.
Obviously, buying the book is a huge deal for me, but other things things like leaving reviews and/or just rating it on platforms like Goodreads, Amazon, Storygraph, etc. help. Ratings and reviews boost the book up the mysterious algorithms. Sharing it on social media does all sorts of good algorithm stuff. If you are more of an analogue person, telling a friend about it, leaving a copy in a Little Library, or requesting it from you local library also help out a ton. If you have a book club and you want me to zoom into your book club, I can do that too.
While I am very exited about the Chevy Cole Series, I have many other novels I hope to get the chance to publish. Here are some of the other projects I have in draft form which I'm hoping to get the chance to share with the world.
High Desert Tumbleweed (Genre: Neo-Western): Cole Quigg is a busted-up, bull rider who left his family ranch as soon as he was old enough to drive. Disinherited for the sin of being the second son, Cole spent the first thirty-nine years of his life hating his father. After his father dies, Cole decides to go back to his childhood home for the holidays. When he gets there, he finds his rural New Mexican town has been transformed by a new-age charlatan, and something is not right on the Quigg ranch. When Cole finally understands what's befallen his family, the fight is on, for the ranch, for the family legacy, and for his and his family's lives.
Untitled (Genre: Near-future, speculative, thriller/mystery): In the near-future, a scientific breakthrough renders all humans capable of universal empathy, except for a small refractory population, who turn into hardened criminals. In this brave new world, most people live without violence and fear. Bridger Etbauer, one of the few remaining cops in America, is charged with hunting down the dwindling number violent criminals. Bridger lives a life that modern people can't understand, full of danger and violence. When Bridger is assigned to investigate an assault case on the California/Nevada border, he finds the case is much more complex than a standard assault, and where it leads him will challenge the very foundation of the society which he has sworn to protect.
The Delta (Genre: Speculative, eco-horror novella): Mutant, man-eating, quagga mussels, known as Powell's Ghosts, have appeared overnight in Lake Powell. These monsters prevent anyone from accessing the water between the Glen Canyon dam and the confluence of the Colorado and Green rivers, and they threaten the economies of every state which relies on the Colorado River watershed. Thirteen years after they appeared, the government believes they have a solution to the ghost problem, but to successfully eradicate the ghosts, the government needs a final data set. To get it, they decide to send a team down Cataract Canyon. But, no one has rafted Cataract Canyon in over a decade. It's not known if the canyon is even navigable. But it isn't until the team is days into their expedition that they realize the biggest threat to their survival isn't the natural world, it's their fellow humans...
I hope to get on these books desk of an editor. If any of these sound interesting to you, please consider pre-ordering Cash and Gravity so that I can keep sharing my stories.
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
